Der Karikaturist nimmt aber auch Stellung zu aktuellen politischen Ereignissen und auch Kollegen, in der Öffentlichkeit stehende Personen, Musiker und Schauspieler werden von Bernd Ertl mit ihren charakterlichen Ecken und Kanten humorvoll dargestellt ohne dabei beleidigend oder kränkend zu sein, sondern mit hintergründigem Witz und einer kleinen „G’nackwatsche“.
